Hello friends! I wanted to share what we did over the weekend. If you are interested in going for a train ride with us, please have a look at the video.
We ate pineapple pizza with tea, in my case, and had the best time sightseeing San Isidro, with its beautiful Cathedral. On the way to the station, we saw the river, Rio de La Plata, in all its glory.
I hope you enjoy this ride as much as we did!
What did you do during the weekend? Did you stay at home for a relaxing day, or did you go out and about?
See you soon!

As you may know, I've been very busy with the Vlog Every Day in April challenge lately.
I'm learning a lot about editing and filming but it's taking a lot of my time. Here's another video for you to watch. It shares my tips for making the most of your days. The original question for this video was: What does your perfect day look like? I changed it to a more realistic prompt: "use what you got and have a good time while you are at it".
Hope you like it and subscribe to the YouTube channel to see the daily vlogs in your subscription box this month!
Have a great weekend. Make the most out of it! ;)

A few weeks ago, my youngest boy invited friends over. I wanted to bake something for them, so I browsed through my recipes.
I found an orange pound cake recipe, only to realize a few minutes later, that I only had one orange left in the fridge. Oh, well. After pondering between the possibility of either running to the greengrocer or using lemons, which I did have, and luckily lots of them, I decided to go for a lemon pound cake, using the same recipe.
The results were equally delicious and very, very lemony. It's clearly a lemon lover kind of pound cake. Me! Are you one of us?
For this very easy-to-make cake you will need:
8 cups or 120 ml Canola Oil
1 cup or 200 grams Granulated Sugar
2 cups or 250 grams Self-Raising Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour loaf pan.
In a bowl combine sugar, oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, and eggs, one by one. To that, add sifted flour and baking powder. Mix/beat until smooth. Pour batter into loaf pan. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until a knife or a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Let the cake cool and then turn out onto rack. Wait for the cake to cool completely, and then add glaze.
*For the lemon glaze you will need: Read below why glaze is not in this photo.
2 cups confectioners' sugar
4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Stir sugar with lemon juice. Done!
*The original orange cake recipe called for more oranges to make a syrup so I used lemons instead. The result was not sweet enough. Although I loved it, the little ones did not! The cake part, they loved. The lemon syrup was the problem area with not enough sweetness for little people. :) So, I decided that next time I make this cake I will be adding lemon glaze on top, in place of lemon syrup. Much sweeter...
Has this happened to you? Have you ever started a recipe and found later on that you didn't have all the ingredients? What did you do?

Hello! Did you know that filming and editing daily videos can take a LOT of your time? I've been wanting to write a post, and a cake recipe for ever, but could not find free time to do so. Instead, I've been chatting away on video.
I hope you subscribe to my YouTube channel to find out about my answers to all the Vlog-Every-Day-April's questions. Just in case you haven't, I'm sharing a video from time to time, here, on the blog, so you don't forget about me!
Have you visited another country? Can't wait to hear from you!

The School Run Mamma is here! Ha!
So, I've been sharing these daily videos on YouTube, and it's been a lot of fun so far. Here's last Friday's. I hope you are following my daily chats and I also hope to find you in the comments!
I decided to share with you the most adventurous decision I made so far. There's something to be said about taking risks and deciding to dive into uncertainty, a planned out kind of uncertainty, really.
More often than not, if things don't turn out the way you expect them to be, worse case scenario would be that you end up stepping out of the experience wiser and stronger. And that, by itself, is great, isn't it?
I'm all for taking thought out risks and plunging into the hope for better things and experiences in life. Go for it!
Hope you are enjoying this as much as I am!
P.S. Stay tuned for a lemon cake recipe this week. It's soooo good...

I know I shouldn't say I don't like Summer that much, (people don't usually like that...hush! hush!!) but that's the truth and nothing but the truth!
On occasions, I love going to a white-sand-emerald-colored-water kind of beach, preferably to an all inclusive hotel, but Summer and work, to me, they don't match. Call me politically incorrect, but that's how it is for me.
Spring? I love it, with its mild temperatures and flowers springing everywhere. The thing about Spring is that it reminds me of Summer (here comes the neurotic in me) and sometimes Summer, can be overwhelmingly hot and humid.
This month, the blog is experiencing some changes regarding scheduling and content. You see, apparently I'm sticking to Vlogging Every Day in April, so I will be sharing some of these videos, in between posts.
If you want to never miss a video, you may subscribe here. If you want to leave comments, please do! That makes my day. I love talking to you!
What's your favorite season and why? Is it Spring where you live?

Hello! As you may already know, I'm trying to keep up with VEDA : Vlog Every Day in April. I've been practicing my English speaking skills almost every day. If you'd like to join in you may here !
The last two questions on the agenda were.
1) What is something you LOVE about Mondays?
2) Tell us about your family and kids.
Of course I wasn't able to stick to only those two questions, and rambled on and on about the blog, our Outfit Talks, the ripple effects of Yoga, and more specifically, Yoga with Adriene.
Well, I hope you bear with me this month, until I return to normal Blog scheduling.
Thank you! See you soon! (Because VEDA) :)
P.S. How do you feel about me posting this short videos on the blog? I'd really, really, really like to know how you feel about that.

The other day, I wrote about the possibility of all of us sharing our outfits (#ootd) on my blog. There's nothing more to it than having a Monday's series in which we could all show our favorite outfits of the week. Wouldn't it be fun?
I'm calling mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters and anyone that would like to share what they love to wear and why.
On my blog.
1) To start a real conversation about fashion and explore what we wear, why, and when, in the real world!
2) Because I'd love to get outfit ideas from you, and maybe, you might get ideas from others too.
1) I thought you could send me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, with a photo of any #ootd that you love, your name, and blog. If you don't have one, I made these series with you in mind, please send your pic. I'd love to get to know you, and any info you want me to post regarding yourself. If it's just your name, then so be it.
2) Also, tell me why you like it so much, and in what occasions you usually wear this specific "beauty uniform".
3) Be sure to use the following hashtag so we can connect there as well, through twitter, Instagram, and YouTube : #ootd@eclecticalu
Here's one of my #ootd@eclecticalu
My happy uniform.
I love wearing this shirt at the beginning of fall and spring. It's warm enough for when winter and spring meet, but also cool enough to keep me comfortable during warmer days. Plus, red and blue apparently make me happy, just look at that face, ha ha! I always pair it with jeans, which ups the levels of coziness.
I'm guilty of wearing it two days in a row, and I'm always a bit sad to part with it, whenever I have to change (and wash) my fall and spring "uniform"!
I really enjoy outfits like this one, that allow free movement, and feel soft and comfy.
What's your favorite outfit or uniform? Do you like to dress up? I do, occasionally. Do you have any favorite combinations, textures, colors? Tell me about them!
Please use the hashtag #ootd@eclecticalu so I can see your #ootd and if you like, send me a pic, it would be fun to feature it on my blog!
P.S. The story behind my "boyfriend jeans".

Hi, blog friends. I've joined Amy Schmittauer with #VEDA (vlog every day in April) and apparently, I will be vlogging every day during the month of April! When I say "apparently", you know what I mean, I'll try!
For now, this is me, this is what I sound like with my flaws, accent and all!
Please leave any questions that you would like to have answered next time I post a vlog...which should be tomorrow, but since it's Saturday, and I have mummy duties to fulfill, we'll see... fingers crossed.
And pretty please, let me know what you think.
Thanks for watching and reading!

I'm happy to announce that I'm a proud mother of two boys who play instruments in the school band. This week, my youngest started playing the tenor saxophone. (Yay!!) My eldest, had an earlier start, last year, with the sax horn.
You may already know I play the piano but, all this wind instrument excitement has made me dust off my clarinet. I only took clarinet lessons for a couple of years. However, I do own one, so lately, I've been
