5 Products I Must Buy Every Time I Go To The U.S.

Whenever I travel to the U.S. I make a point of not leaving the land of the free without "my precious" 5 (yes, I turn into Gollum when this happens, but I really do need them, OK?).

1. The Healthy Deodorant

Lavanila the Healthy Deodorant. Ever since Makeup by TiffanyD mentioned it, I knew I was going to like it, and I did! It's the only deodorant I wear.

Have you tried this one? It's mild, but effective, and smells sooo nice. My favorite is Pure Vanilla. The fact that it doesn't contain aluminium makes me feel like I'm giving my armpits the good treatment they deserve *pats back*.

2. The Dry Skin Savior

That's right, it saved my skin, that's how I call my, oh so silky, Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion. (I can't believe I've already finished my last bottle...) I credit this product for relieving my itchy, dry skin, and for aiding with my eczema healing process. Click here for a full Skin MD lotion description and why I consider it a priority.

Seriously, this is the best, non-greasy lotion for dry skin. Even if you don't have dry skin I would also recommend it. It's so light weight, and quickly absorbing that I'd bet it's great for every skin type.

3. The Body Butter

The Body Shop's Almond Body Butter. Have you smelled this one? It has the most delicious almond scent. Plus, The Body Shop's ethical standards make it a win-win purchase. The Gollum in me feels like it's a justified purchase.

4. The Jeans

Sometimes I get them at Gap, sometimes at Target (the best store ever!). The endless possibilities of styles and lengths in the US agree with my body features greatly!

Last time we traveled, it was a tie between Mossimo's High Rise Flare and Gap's Premium Flare. These last ones by Gap are "Jello" to me. (In case you don't have a clue what I'm talking about, it's...another movie, "My Best Friend's Wedding"...annnywayyys....)

One more thing, if you have a favorite, go-to style of jeans, please let me know in the comments so I can explore the option. Fingers crossed, next time I fly north I will be able to get them! Thanks!

5. The Nail Polish

Ahh, this part is the most impulsive but gratifying! OPI polishes are available here but there's not a huge selection to choose from. Essie is almost impossible to get, so I know you understand my excitement when I see a Wallgreens, Ulta, or a CVS Pharmacy.

That's not the case for my 2 boys and husband, who can only anticipate extreme boredom whenever that happens, and attempt to say "Oh no, not again!!" at the sight of said stores. Oh well, I do go to Best Buy with them a lot too, you know?

What are your must-have products?

Spring & Autumn Fashion Trend / The Poncho / Eclectic Alu

As you may know, I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ponchos are part of our heritage, especially, in the northern part of the country.

This first poncho I'm showing, the red and black one, is the emblematic Argentine poncho. Its colors have a specific meaning that is intertwined with our history.

Recently, ponchos turned into a fashion trend worldwide. Vogue Magazine included them as a chic staple. I'm almost certain that Queen Maxima of the Netherlands (another Argentine) may have had something to do with this trend

I hope you enjoy this video. Although it was a huge editing challenge, I had a lot of fun in the process.

Have a lovely Friday and weekend!

I'm Just Happy It's Fall in Buenos Aires

Fall is here!! Hands down, my favorite season. Exhibit A

Whenever leaves start to change colors and trees turn yellow, red, and brown, I cannot stop taking pictures of all the beautiful trees and landscapes.

I also like to edit these photos for Instagram, and post them. By the way, let me extend my sincere apologies to you, if you are one of my friends on that corner of the internet...I may have posted a bit too many of them...

I guess I enjoy everything that comes with fall and winter. All the coziness, the heart warming hot tea, and even fall fashion. I will be making a video on ponchos soon (please subscribe to my YouTube channel if you want to see upcoming videos). I just think ponchos and throws can be oh-so-very-chic and cool. Don't you think? They are a great option for cool summer nights and sunny autumnal days.

Anyways...Here are a few of my favorite pics so far.

Look at those trees!

One thing is for sure, as long as my iPhone is charged, there will be fall themed pictures on my Instagram account! Mark this autumn-fanatic words! :)

Have a cozy weekend!

Delicious Homemade Baby Food That Doubles as a Meal for Parents + VIDEO

Hello! Today I'm sharing my favorite mom-hack. The baby food recipe that doubles as parent food!

My kids are 9 and 11 now, but I remember back when they were toddlers, making different foods for my husband and I was extra work.

The day I made this recipe, used to be the day I didn't have to cook two different sets of meals. And those were the easy breeze days!

It even gets better! You can store this in the freezer, in portion size containers (sometimes this means an ice cube holder) so you can have it ready for baby lunch/dinner/snack time.

So moms, and dads, have a watch, sit back, and enjoy! Healthy food that is yummy and easy to make, coming your way!

My Homemade Cleaning Recipe With White Vinegar

Hello sweetie pies! I'm back with my absolute favorite DIY cleaner.

Back when my boys were toddlers, I started searching for powerful disinfectants, with fewer chemicals. I wanted to keep my floors, bathrooms, and surfaces, as clean as possible. (Hello mom central!). Soon enough, I found this recipe in a UK website, which I cannot remember the name of, and I've been using it ever since.

If you worry about "the new smell of clean" - aka, vinegar - don't. It vanishes fairly quickly, in less than a minute, and leaves your home deodorized, but with a clean smell. My kitchen ends up smelling like a laboratory or even an operating room, if you will...

One thing, though. Always open your windows for ventilation whenever you use this product. It's more powerful, as a disinfectant, than bleach alone! And don't smell it directly.

Having said that, I've been washing bacteria away for years with this low cost cleaning recipe, and many of my friends and family have fallen prey to its benefits as well.

I hope you find this useful and please, please, let me know if you try this. Also, do you know of any other cleaning recipes?

Thank you for reading and happy cleaning!

Spring Cleaning The Healthy Way + VIDEO

It's fall in the southern hemisphere, however, I was contacted by Mesothelioma + Asbestos Awareness Center to share some easy ways to avoid asbestos at home, while spring (or any season!) cleaning.  If you are not familiar with asbestos and its potential dangers you can read more here

Of course, spring cleaning is a great opportunity to do so, but it's always best to follow their guidelines and tips on a daily basis year round. Don't you think?

About Those Tips

  • Ventilation. (Check) I'm a big fan of opening windows daily, to let the juicy, clean, fresh air invade my house with an oxygen filled breeze. Ahhhh...
  • Less clutter. Ever since I read Marie Kondo's book "The life changing magic of tidying up" I never stopped decluttering my home. There's something about clean surfaces that makes your brain happy!

My DIY Recipe For Getting Rid of Bugs in The Kitchen

I don't know about you, but I'm feeling motivated to do some "Fall Cleaning". And yes, fall cleaning is a thing.

What are your thoughts about this?

French Pharmacy Haul For Kids & Moms + Nail polish Keeps Calling My Name!

So, the other day, while I was walking around my neighborhood, and filming my last vlog, for Vlog Every Day in April, I did some much needed essentials-shopping, and "mysteriously" ended up with two very similar nail polishes ...

Don't ask me why, or how. When it comes to nail polish, I run out of logical explanations.
